Kitchen Safety Tips:
- Never leave cooking unattended
- Keep stove clean and clear
- Wear fitting clothes to avoid catching on fire (no loose clothing)
- Don't hang curtains, pot holders, or towels over the stove or oven.
- Turn pothandels inward- to stop from hitting the food and burning yourself
- Don't allow children or pets to play in the kitchen while cooking
- If a small fire starts smuther the flame and turn off the heat source
- When using knives you should be careful where you cut... WATCH YOUR FINGERS.
- Don't use dull knives due to a better chance of danger.
- Children should always be supervised in kitchens.
- Slice away from your fingers and not towards.
- Clean up behind yourself, when using knives or pouinty objects
- Put away safely when not in use.
- Never put metal into the microwave.
- Never touch hot stuff - pots (metal) without potholders.
- Make sure stove is completely down before going into it.
- If things get brokenor spilled clean it right away.
- Don't use your bare hands to clean up sharp objects.
