Math started way back before Christ was born .  Most of the time people use math, they don’t even notice it.  If you just go to check the time, you’re still using math.  So when people a long time ago used math, they didn’t know they were using it .  Archimedes became really familiar with math, but no one called the study math yet.  People used little pieces of it everyday and they didn’t notice it so they took no notice of it at all.  The Romans used Roman Numerals and noticed math and how it was used.  That is where numbers got their name.  The whole point is math has been around forever but we just didn’t notice it until we became more sophisticated.
