Introduction

Mars is the 4th planet from the sun. It is also known as the “Red Planet” because of its distinctive red color. Mars gets it's red color from the rusted iron dust in its atmosphere. Mars can be seen as a reddish looking star through a human's naked eye. Mars was named after the Roman God of War. Mars takes 687 days to revolve around the sun, which is a rather lengthy journey but still not the longest.
