Gabriela
My name is Gabriela (Gaby). I am 18 and finally a senior at the awesome school,
Eastside College Prep. I am Mexican-American, born and raised in California.
Both of my parents are Mexican, both from Michoacan, MX. I am the oldest of four children and college-bound. As of today, my first choice colleges are The University of Utah, UC Santa Cruz, Utah Valley State College or Gonzaga University.
In my spare time, I like to listen to music, photograph, draw, paint and hang with all of my true friends whom I love; Diana, Jesus, Enrique, Estiban, Diego, Tania, Stephanie, Hannah, my brother are just to name a few. I like photography and enjoy writing. I am part of Stanford’s Writing Center’s, Project WRITE. This program was designed to allow minority students from the community to write and express themselves through words and visual arts. Another one of my interests and passions is music. I love all types of music, but not very into country, classical or pop. My favorite type of music I can honestly say is rock, all types and in all languages.
In the future I want to be a Neo-natal Pediatrician, a Nurse, a Veterinarian or a Dental Assistant. I have the great opportunity to attend Eastside College Prep. and take advantage of all the many opportunities that many students from my area only hope for.
At Eastside, I decided to take this Multimedia class that allowed us to enter ThinkQuest, through Oracle. I wanted to take Multimedia because I know that technology is now and the future. This class teaches me about new programs and such that will help me gain more knowledge about high-tech applications.
I liked working with my group, Blagreene. We are so different and our differences always made our site better. We all had various types of input in our site that that made it unique. Francisco, Diana and Shirley were all very fun to work with and I hope that one day we can get back together and create another site .
