Collaboration

Blagreene was a very charismatic and creative group. Every team member provided input, whether it was with content or creative insight. Shirley assisted with layout ideas and content. Diana helped out with content and the display of the website. Francisco created the overall website tech and developed the look of the website. Gabriela helped with the content and provided creative input and was a leader when settling disputes. We tried to work out our differences since we are all individuals with individual perspectives and ideas. We tried to accommodate everyone’s taste in creating a website that would be fun and interesting. Sometimes we were unable to come to a defined decision on what the website should look like, but in the end we all came to a conclusion by mixing all of our ideas.

Global Perspective

The Blagreene team has members that are from different places: Gaby and Francisco were born here but their parents are from Michoacán, Mexico, Shirley is from Guatemala, Guatemala and Diana is from Acapulco, Mexico. Though we are from those specific places we have blood from other countries too. Throughout the process of creating the website we decided to bring in a little of what we know which makes a big part of who we really are. We also as a team decided that interviewing people that were from different parts of the world and that were currently in the field of photojournalism would add to the websites global perspective. We decided to interview Bruno J. Navarro which is a good friend of our teacher; he lives in New York City. Also, we interveiwed Josh Estey who lives in Asia. Not only interviewing but reading about other photojournalist that inspired photojournalism was helpful because they focused on other countries in the world that we could not reach to. We read the biographies of different photojournalist such as Dorothea Lange, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Felice Beato.

We now want to thank Jenny Jax, for being our coach throughout this whole thing and enduring to the end. We also want to thank Sara for helping us A TON with our design and content. This website could not be here without Adriane. She helped us also with design and content issues. We also want to thank the journalists, Josh Estey and Bruno J. Navarro for taking the time to answer our questions. Last but not least, Thank You for checking out our website.

Jenny Jax all happy- looking!

Dorothea Lange followed this woman for many instances, and expertly portrayed the hardships of the Great Deppression.
