1914 WWI begins in August.
1917 In April, U.S. enters war.
Doud Dwight Eisenhower is born on September 24, and nicknamed "Icky".
1918 War ends on November 11.
1920 Icky dies three years after he is born.
1921 Ike goes to serve under General Fox Conner in Panama.
1922 John Sheldon Doud Eisenhower is born on August 3rd.
1928 Ike goes to Paris as an assignment for fifteen months.
1930 General Douglas MacArthur becomes the Army's Chief of Staff.
1935 MacArthur's time as Chief of Staff comes to an end. The Phillipines want him to come and help them build an army,
MacArthur asks Ike to come with him.
1939 WWII begins on September 1.
