Georges Pierre Seurat

Georges Pierre Seurat was born December 2, 1859 in France. He lived with his parents and a brother named Emile and a sister named Marie-Berthe. His nickname was “Seurat the Dot."
His paint stroke was in dots. Before he started painting his picture, he sketched it. He liked mixing colors. Nobody liked his paintings at first, because they said it was “fuzzy." However, some artists thought his paintings were very artistic and hard. Paul Signac, an artist, really liked his work. Signac loved Seurat’s brush stroke.
