A: Children ages 1-5 learn lots of nursery rhymes. They do almost the same thing that children in the U.S. do. They also have bedtimes that they always stick to.

A: At age 18 the children start going to a collage or a university.

A: Yes, there are some different schools that the children go to. Infant School is for ages 4-8. Junior school is for ages 8-12, and High/Grammar School is for ages 12-16.

A: Kids ages 12-18 go to school, hang out with their friends and do stuff like that. Children ages 16-18 go to a sixth form of collage.

A: There is a burial and a ceremony. There is no viewing or an open coffin.

A: The baby can be born at home or at a hospital. Many babies are christened at the age of 6 weeks.

A: There are cakes and parties. The parties are usually held at home. At the parties they usually play party games.

A: 18 is a special birthday because they can start to vote. 21 is also a special birthday.
Q: How do you celebrate Christmas?
A: Christmas is similar to the way we celebrate Christmas in the U.S. Kids hang their stockings. Santa is not called Santa in England, he is called Father Christmas. There is also 2 days for the holiday. One day is Christmas Day and the other day is Boxing Day.
Fun Facts! There are no school busses. Children wear uniforms to school. All sports are played in school time. Children start driving at the age of 17. England has a queen. England also has a Prime Minister. People in England love to make gardens. The gardens that the English make are smaller than the ones on the U.S. If people in the U.S. drive on the right side of the road, England drives on the left side of the road. England’s steering wheels are on the right side of the vehicle.
