*The followers of Jesus angered the Roman authorities because they refused to follow the Jewish or Roman rules

 *Roman Authorities arrested Jesus and then crucified him

 *Just three days after his execution his followers said they saw him rise from the dead

 *His followers called him Christ which is Greek for “chosen one” because they believed he was sent fro m God as a messenger

 *The followers of Jesus taught people that if they were Christians then their sins would be forgiven by God 

*The message spread throughout the Roman Empire especially the to one Greek speaker named Paul which was known to Christians as Saint Paul
