My name is Tigist and I am seventeen years old. I am originally from Ethiopia, but live in Philadelphia, PA with my family. I have lived in Philadelphia for about 10 years. I really love and enjoy the city. I met a lot of great people and made many new friends. I visited my original home once since I moved to Philadelphia but hope to go back after I finish school.

I am a junior in high school and a part of the Air Force J.R.O.T.C. I was apart of J.R.O.T.C since the ninth grade. I joined J.R.O.T.C because it helped me to learn about leadership skills. I have been apart of Lincoln University Upward Bound program ever since ninth grade. I have gained a lot from Upward Bound that will help me when I get to college.

I have worked a lot with computers before but this is my first year being apart of ThinkQuest. Before ThinkQuest I was in Prescott, Arizona for the summer and was in a Nanotechnology class. What I learned in that class and my background with computers before have helped me tremendously on the Mdw Ntr site. I have learned a lot so far into the making of the Mdw Ntr site.

During my spare time, I like to listen to music and hang out with my friends.
After I graduate high school I plan to go to a four-year college to become either an Accountant or a Physician.
