About Me: Kevin
The Web Designer

My name is Kevin and I am a sophomore. For fun, like any other usual teenager, I like to hang out with my friends and play sports. I love to swim; I swim on the swim team at my school. I also like playing basketball and football. I grew up being the third oldest of six children so I am very independent and I like to do a variety of extra curricular activities. Most of my life revolves around my friends, family, and Upward Bound. I don’t mind it at all either because it will be worth it in the long run.

In school I am a shy student, but I do well in all of my classes. My favorite academic class is Geometry because all of the work is very easy for me. I am very athletic and I have the most fun in my Gym class. I am an A and B student, but I may occasionally get a C, which encouragees me to do better next marking period. One of the most complicated things for me to do is read. I am a fast reader and I do read, but I have bad reading comprehension, which causes me to do poorly on tests. With the aid of Upward Bound, my reading has progressed dramatically and I will keep on improving.

Prior to joining Upward Bound I have had experience with using HTML and flash products. I was the Web Designer. My main job on the site was building frame sets, editing photos in Photoshop, and creating the background and fonts for every page. This site was truly a learning experience. The topic Mdw Ntr was introduced to us through our Professor’s husband who happens to teach a class at Lincoln University on African Sciences. Our topic is very interesting and I am glad that my team embarked upon this project.

In the future I plan on graduating high school with a 3.5 or higher GPA. I would like to go to University of California at Los Angeles. It would be a big transition since I do not like being away from my family for a long time, but Upward Bound has widened my horizon and I will eventually get used to being away from my family for a long time. I want to major in Pre-med. When I am older I hope to be a Plastic Surgeon.
