Welcome to the world of music theory, an evolving study of music based on nothing but music itself. Like music, music theory is fluid and changes with time and style. What music theory does is to try and analyze trends in music, not to completely destroy the meaning of music by trying to break it down. Music conveys the feelings of the human being - love, anger, desperation, contentment, struggle. Music theory is an attempt to see the science of these musical expressions, so to speak, a set of rules being broken and reshaped with every new composition, every new interpretation. In our website, we hope to bring beginner musicians or those with no previous background in music theory to understand some introductory and advanced concepts of the topic.
