The Christian Children's Fund has been in existence for over sixty five years. The hope that by identifying the causes of poverty the world will be able to alleviate to hardships of famine and ultimately destroy it. The Christian Children’s fund employs practical help in impoverished communities to end child starvation.
The goal of the Christian Children’s fund is to assist the people of disadvantaged communities to gain self-sufficiency rather than relying on the aid for survival. They believe that if you assist the country in the first steps in helpful development they will learn the techniques and skills necessary to flourish and develop without the help of outside assistance.

The Christian Children’s Fund has a long terms solution for preventing any problems within the future. By using water resource and food storage facilities, in addition to “seed banks” Ethiopia’s food problems will be significantly reduced.
Generally, malnutrition will be the result of lack of knowledge rather than food. This is why education is a necessity for the progression of Ethiopia. By teaching the people of Ethiopia how to gain their necessary nutrition from their available sources the number of people suffering from malnutrition.
The Christian Children’s fund uses its food security measures to ensure that if a major drought ever occurs again the emergency response will be prepared to handle the situation. By doing so it guarantees that many lives will be saved in the face of a crisis.
