Adults have 206 bones in their bodies. A baby has (about 300 bones) in their body. The bones of a babys skull grow together as they grow up, and make less bones in the skeleton. The biggest bone in the human body is the femur (the thighbone). Each human hand has 26 bones in it. Your nose and ears do not have any bones in them so they are very flexible; they are made of cartilage. Joints connect all bones, and the ends of bones are covered with cartilage so that they dont scrape together when they move. Male and female skeletons are slightly different. Males have thicker bones and females have a larger pelvis.
