| Thoth
was a very important god of Egypt. He was a god of: truth, magic and
most importantly wisdom and learning. Thoth created writing, the book of
the dead (records of who goes into the afterlife), and the book of
Thoth. Thoth was the smartest god in Egyptian mythology. Thoth had the
body of a man and a head of either an ibis or a baboon. Thoth attended
all major meetings of the gods and important events. He also was present
in the judging of the souls of the dead. Thoth even accompanied Re
across the sky. |
