Although Artificial Intelligence hasn’t developed enough as yet to produce many ethical problems, our limited AI technology does allow for some controversy. Most of it revolves around the limits of AI—what AI can do, and where is the line between decisions that must be made by humans and those decisions that robots can formulate?
Still other problems such as how do we prevent putting this technology in the hands of those who would use it to create harm have to be dealt with as well. Some people feel that the only way to solve these problems is to reverse the clock and go back to a time when technology was at a controllable level.
Problems such as these are difficult to solve, but they are only the first among many that will appear as the use of AI increases. Not all are so pressing that they need to be fixed right away, but they do need to be addressed in a timely manner, as they will present even more problems down the road if they are left unsolved.
