My name is Amelia. I am 18 years old and live in the United States. Currently, I am in my junior year at Pinkerton Academy in New Hampshire. I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, playing computer games, and programming on occasion. I have also gained a recent interest in science fiction and have a rather extensive list of books in the genre that I want to read when I find the time. At school, I am a member of the computer club and the editor of the literary magazine. I am also an active member of the youth group in my church. I am still trying to decide where I want to go to college and what I want to major in when I get there. My current thoughts are English or Computer Science, though the two are rather different.

ThinkQuest has been an incredible experience for me, and I can tell that the rest of the team feels the same way. It’s been a lot of work—many long hours of research and staring at the computer screen—but we all pulled together and made it happen. The finished project (this website) and the knowledge I have gained (both in researched facts and in group skills) have made every second spent on the project worth it.

Living in a small New Hampshire town, I rarely get a chance to relate to people of other cultures or countries. ThinkQuest has not only allowed me to get to know several great people from different countries, but to work with them, bond with them in a way that only comes from working on a project like this and sharing goals. I have grown so much and I have ThinkQuest to thank for it.
