Peru

HISTORY:

The Incas are the best known natives of  Peru,  but their culture only lasted for 100 years. In the 1430’s the Incas tried to conquer all of the non-Inca culture. They did conquer some cultures. Then the Spanish came in 1532, they are the ones who helped overthrow the Incas. Francisco Pizarro, a Spanish conquer, founded Lima the capital of Peru. The Spaniards ruled Peru for about 300 years. They considered themselves the highest class. Spaniards born in Peru called Mestizoz and had lesser status and Indians had even less then that. With the help of Jose de San Martin and Simon Bolivar, Peru declared it’s independence in 1821.
