All adolescent girls find their mom embarrassing but culture determines if and how they express their feelings.

Hypothesis #2

The age of an adolescent girl determines whether or not she finds her mother embarrassing; specifically:

 Younger girls (1-7) do not feel embarrassed by their mothers because they really have a lot of love for their mothers.

bullet

Girls in the middle(11-18) feel more embarrassed by their mothers because they are going through a more rebellious stage and feel that they don't always need protection from their mothers.

bullet

Girls that are older have a lot of respect for their mothers and take their mothers for granted less and are less embarrassed by them because they are more mature.
