Introduction
The gradual warming of earth's surface, also known as global warming is beginning to have an apparent effect on our planet. Scientists believe that in the past decade the earth's surface has increased in temperature by 1 degree Fahrenheit. Variation in the Earth's temperature does vary naturally, but as a society we have caused our planet to increase in temperature at a rate faster than previous periods. We can influence our effect on our environment by changing our activities that have the largest impact on global warming. Even with the one degree that the temperature has increased, there is room for potentially bigger problems. As a nation we can not stop global warming because it is occurring naturally, but we can slow down the increase in temperature. Global warming is a major problem in our world today. Scientists are doing their best to understand the effect, stop, or decrease the gradual rise in temperature. You can help too!
