This site is designed for ages 9 to 15.  If you are interested in history, travel, or ancient and current cultures, you will enjoy this site.  If you need information about cities in different time periods or facts about historical events around the world you will find it here.  Simply click on the Time Trek 3000 time machine to begin your adventure.

Goals/Purpose

Our goal is to help you learn how various cultures and civilizations have changed throughout time. We are a diverse team of students from different countries, so we created this website to help people be more accepting and understanding of other cultures. You’ll see that cultures share common features, yet each one is unique. You’ll learn about important events and places, advances in science and technology, geography, transportation, food, clothing, religion, cultural traditions and more.  Here are some guiding questions to ask yourself as you view our site:

• What can I learn from studying other places and times?
• How does the past affect us today?
• What makes a civilization?
• Are modern civilizations more civilized than ancient ones?
• How does where people live influence how they live?

Originality

To make our site unique, we decided to set it in the future and create a time travel company called the Time Trek Travel Agency.  That way instead of just reading about different civilizations, you can actually pretend to be there. Since our audience is mostly children and young adults, we thought the idea of a time machine would be a fun and enjoyable way to learn.
