The Doctor Li Shizhen

Li Shizhen had a very pool family. Li Shizhen studied a lot when he was young and became a good doctor in his town. The more time he worked, the more wrong with Chinese herbalism he had found. So he wanted to write a book about Chinese herbalism.

First, he traveled all over China with little money, and asked farmers and other people a lot of questions about plants.

Then, he arrived home to have his book written. After a long time he finished his book “Ben Caogangmu”, with 1.9 million words and thousands of pictures. The book, which had already divided in to 52 chapters, is one of the greatest books of the Chinese medical books.

Soon, Li Shizhen’s book became popular in China.
