Orange Flash - Safety on the roads

Road Safety
Road safety is very important. In Singapore, 194 people died in 2005 because either they or another party ignored road safety. Even though there was a decrease in the number of fatalities from 2004 to 2005, the number still can be lowered. Most fatalities are the elderly and surprisingly there were only 7 fatalities under the age of 19.
The only way that these digits can reduce is when both motorists and pedestrians practice road safety. Thus, motorists should not speed and pedestrians should not jaywalk.
The possible causes of road accidents are mainly ignorance, natural disasters, faulty parts of vehicles, and in some cases, road signs that are not prominent. No one can say that they did not know, because the Singapore government makes very clear rules of the road.
