Have you heard about protein? You may have but do you really know a lot about it? Until recently, protein got little attention. It has been shadowed by fat, carbohydrates, and vitamins. However, protein is just as important has them.


Around the world, millions of people don't get enough protein. Protein malnutrition leads to the condition known as kwashiorkor. Lack of protein can cause growth failure, loss of muscle mass, decreased immunity, weakening of the heart and respiratory system, and death. Scary right? That is why it is integral that we have enough protein in your diet.
