Race and prejudice have played a role in many of the worlds problems for as far back as Ancient times. People have always been judged based on their skin color, their religion, their heritage, their gender, and their race. We started to think that since people from all walks of life, from all around the world face this every day that it might have been the cause of the major conflicts around the world.
What is prejudice?
Prejudice is characterized by one of; a feeling of superiority; a feeling that the minority is inherently different and alien; a feeling of proprietary claim to power, privilege and status; and a fear and suspicion that the minority harbors designs on the power privilege, and status of the dominant group. Prejudiced peoples easily retain evidence that confirms their negative attitude while ignoring or discounting evidence of the contrary.
