Selkie is a sea lion, sea lions are pinnipeds, which means `fin foot`, like seals. They have very thick fur which helps them not feel that cold in freezing water. Fur seals and sea lions are in the same group they are known as `eared seals`. Unlike the `earless seals`, they are quite agile on land. The front flip flippers to help them to get onto land, and to swim with. They use there back flippers like a leg on the land and as a rudder in the water.
