Tyler
My name is Tyler and I attend Norwood Primary School, in South Australia. I am 12 years old and I am in Year 7, which is the final year of primary school.
I have learnt Greek at my school for a number of years and now I am learning Chinese. I am enjoying finding out about other people’s cultures and beliefs.
To get in to Think Quest I needed to write an application regarding how I could contribute as a team member and the skills I had to offer.
My role was to research and write about the echidna, kangaroo and kookaburra. I also had to find information about native animals in Australia and Aboriginal Dreaming stories.
What I learnt from being part of a ThinkQuest team? I learnt a lot of things like what mammals were and what groups of kangaroos are called, that echidnas and kangaroos could swim and all sorts of other information.
I really enjoyed being a part of TQ and had a great experience especially working with the other team members and with the coaches. We communicate with Mrs. Calderwood in NSW via telephone and email as she and Eleanor are in Newcastle, New South Wales.
I also got to work on Think.com where I had my own page and made some friends.
