Cardiovascular System - Kidneys
The kidneys are located at the lower back above the hip. They shaped like kidney beans. They are about the size of a bar of soap. The kidneys filter waste products out of your blood stream. Some waste products are urea, sugar, and ammonia. The main waste product is urea. Urea comes from the blood, and is cleaned out by your kidneys, which sends the waste to your bladder. The bladder is a storage sac for urine, and when your bladder is emptied, it removes blood waste from your body.
