The Samurai

The Samurai played an important part in the history of Japan. Specifically, they were involved in the warfare aspect of the Japanese society. They were the protectors of the people who did not know how to protect themselves. They helped to sort out disputes among the people. They served under the emperor in the feudal system. The Samurai followed a code called Bushido. This told them how to live their lives and the ways to fight. Medieval Japanese warfare would have been much different without the Samurai, because they were the heart and soul of Japan.
