The wooden windows are lavishly decorated and are placed on each level of the pagoda. The number of windows placed on each level always adds depending on the size of the wall. They are only used in temples and palaces. bay windows are flanked by smaller ones on the sides and are used in residential pagodas and temples. The windows are slanted to expose the beautiful floor of the pagoda. "They are either open or closed with wooden lattice which helps provide privacy and ventilation at the same time."
