The Northern Pike’s scientific name is Esox Lucius. The pike’s spawning occurs at temperatures between 34 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. But the preferred range is 36 to 37 degrees Fahrenheit. The pike is also the largest fish in the marsh. The pike also eats other fish. In the spring time the pike lays it’s eggs in the northern part of the marsh.
