The Chinstrap Penguin

The attraction the Penguina`rio is made up of chinstrap penguins. The chinstrap penguins are one of the most populated types of penguin. The guess is that there are 12 even up to 13 million chinstrap penguins on the barren islands of the sub- Antarctic region.

These penguins eat krill and many different types of fish. They dive into the ocean to get their food sources. These penguins sometimes fight others.

Their name the ‘chinstrap penguin’ got its name because of black line under their mouth that looks like a chinstrap.

Some people call them the ‘stone cracker penguins’ because of their high pitched call.

Chinstrap penguins are very stylish with their unique chinstrap.
