Lobster Body

Their top layer of skin is made of chitin (sort of like your fingernail). It’s flexible but also protective.

Lobsters have no bones but, a protected body divided into sections.

Eventually, a lobster will loose (shed) its skin and grow a new one. This skin is left were the lobster lives most of the time.

Lobsters weigh from 1 to 20 pounds.

If a lobster looses a leg or claw, all they have to do is leave it behind and grow a new one! That is pretty cool.
