U.S., U.S.A., America? They’re
all the same and mean the United States of America. Still no clue? Try the
Melting Pot or the "nation for immigrants."
The United States is located in
the middle of North America between Canada and Mexico. The U.S. is so big that it
is the 4th largest country in the world. It is made up of 50 states,
but only 48 are touching. Alaska is north of the U.S. and west of Canada and. Hawaii
is between North America and Japan in the Pacific Ocean. Since the U. S.
is such a big country it has many different climates and physical features. For
example, we have beaches, plains, mountain ranges, deserts, forests, lakes,
rivers, valleys, and volcanoes. Basically we’ve got geographically everything!
