February 1865 - Sherman Marched Through North And South Carolina Destroying Almost Everything In His Path.

February 3 1865 – Mclaws Retreated Toward Branchville After Stalling Sherman’s Advance For Only One Day.

February 1865 -- A Chance For Reconciliation Is Lost, Lincoln Didn’t Accept The Confederates Offer To Have A Conference.

March 6 1865 – The Union Retreated From Natural Bridge After Not Being Able To Take It.

March 27-April 8 1865 -- Spanish Fort Was Taken By The Union.

April 2 1865 – The Confederates Surrendered The City Of Selma, Which Some Considered It Invincible.

April 2-9 1865 -- Canby's Forces, Defeated The Confederates At Fort Blakely, With The Help Of African-American Forces Which Played A Major Role In The Assault.

April 1865 – Lee Evacuated Richmond, The Confederate Capital, And Headed West To Join With Other Forces.

April 9 1865 -- Surrender At Appomattox Courthouse, The Confederates Surrendered.

April 1865 -- The Assassination Of President Lincoln, Took Place At Ford’s Theater In Washington D.C.  He Was Killed By John Wilkes Booth, And Actor From Maryland.

April 1865 -- Final Surrenders Among Remaining Confederate Troops, With Jefferson Davis.

May 12-13 1865 – Union Col. Theodore H. Barrett Sent An Expedition To Attack Reported Rebel Camps.

Nov. 1865 -- The Execution Of Captain Henry Wirz

December 18 1865 - Thirteenth Amendment To Constitution Ratified, Ending Slavery.
