1861 Texas Seceded From The Union.

February 1861-- The South Starts Its Own Government

February 1861-- The South Seizes Federal Forts

March 4 1861-- Lincoln's Inauguration

March 11 1861-- Confederate Constitution Was Created.

April 1861 -- Attack On Fort Sumter.

April 17 1861 Virginia Seceded From The Union.

April 1861-- Four More States Join The Confederacy.

May 6 1861 Arkansas Seceded From The Union.

May 20  1861 North Carolina Seceded From The Union.

June 1861-- West Virginia Is Born And Admitted Into The Union Against Virginia.

June 1861—Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, And Missouri Stay In The Union.

July 1861 -- First Battle Of Bull Run Resulted In A Union Loss.

July 1861-- General McDowell Is Replaced With General George B. McClellan Under Lincoln’s Orders.

July – November 1861 -- A Blockade Of The South Which Resulted In A Success For The Union
