What They Do

Written by Jennifer

Girls symbolize the moon for its elegance, and guys symbolize the sun for power. They say the moon is the brightest on this day. On this day they give thanks. Friendships are renewed. It is a romantic holiday they write poems to their lost lovers. They give offerings, and fluttering lanterns hang while they eat. They have a big feast. They admire the moon and their dreams come true. Fruits and sweet meats are eaten at the dinner. After dinner, they eat moon cakes. They give out moon cakes to represent giving thanks.
