The Chinese were very advanced when it came to medical issues. They invented acupuncture, a method where needles are injected into blood veins. They were constantly searching for an elixir for life, and they found many herbal medicines during this search. Many herbs were left to dry in the sun in order to make medicine. They also thought that an elixir for life would change iron into gold. Another thing associated with an elixir for life is gunpowder, which was found during this search. We might not be where we are in medical research if it wasn’t for the Chinese.
