Potato Chips

The History of Potato Chips

Surprisingly, potato chips were an accident. This is how the story goes: In 1853 a Native American man named George Crum was working at the Moon Lake Lodge resort in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA. A customer was complaining that Crum's french fries were too thick. Crum made another batch, but the customer was still not satisfied. Crum, fed up with the fussy customer, made a batch that were too thin to eat with a fork. Instead of annoying the customer like he had hoped, the customer thought they were delicious and soon other customers wanted them too.
