Black Footed Ferret

 

The California Condor is one of North America's rarest birds. The California Condor is usually 4-3 feet in length and weighs from 20-30.The condor's wingspan is from 9-10 and a half feet! In the first half of the century the population, but now there is less than 40 individuals. Soaring at speeds of 35-40 miles per hour the California Condor lives in a small region north of  Los Angeles. The California Condor was routinely shot by farmers and ranchers. Now they are almost gone.

Molloko the Condor

On April 19, 1987 the last condor was taken into captivity. Molloko was the first ever captive condor to be born in captivity. He was born in April, 1988 at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. It's future lied in the hands of the park, and when it got older, Molloko would be sent back to the wild. Hopefully, Molloko's story would influence people.
