Collaboration
Our group came from three different schools. Matt D. and Russell had a very keen interest in whaling. We all disagreed with some of the colors that they chose but we listened to them and they listened to us and we worked out the problem. Also Matt C. and Dylan were interested in natural disasters, like cyclones and tsunamis. The two of them disagreed on some of the backgrounds but they listened to each other and worked out the problem. Also Matt E. and Nicolai were very interested in shipwrecks. Matt E's grandfather taught him all about the Titanic. He got his friend, Nicolai, to learn about shipwrecks too. We had very few disagreements. We all worked very well with each other.
Global Perspectives
We all came from different schools. We all had a interest in The Sea, but we were interested in different types of things. Matt D. and Russell were interested in whaling. Whaling is an industry that was once practiced by people all over the world and it is still done is some areas of the world today. Matt C. and Dylan were fascinated by different natural sea disasters. Tsunamis, cyclones and large floods plague many countries, both developed and undeveloped. Also, Matt E. and Nicolai were interested in shipwrecks. Travel over the sea was extremely popular prior to the invention of the airplane. Shipwrecks were common in all parts of the world before people chose other methods of transportation.
