Mining and the Environment

Having problems getting info on mining that you can actually UNDERSTAND?

Are you in 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th
grade and don't want to spend your youth on homework??

Trust us!

We've been there!
And YOU have come to the RIGHT place!

All of our team members agree that spending hours on the Internet looking for information for one report is just CRAZY!  When we were studying mining and rocks and minerals in the 4th and 5th grades, we were looking for info that just wasn't there or was in too many places for us to find.  Check us out and you will find:

Different kinds of mining: underground and surface

Games, activities, videos, and sites for teachers.

Common rocks, minerals, and gemstones along with their properties and how they are mined.

All about minerals, how they are identified, and their characteristics.

Kid language because it takes lots of time to figure some of this stuff out!

Tours of a coal mine, quarry, and a zinc mine.

And so much more!  Start with our mining page.  After all, IT'S ALL MINE!

Information pages have a Printer Friendly icon.  If you click on the icon, you will be taken to a page that has just the information on it. This should help save ink!
