Claustrophobia,
is a fear of of being in
confined spaces. Someone who has this fear might say that
there is no easy way out. This phobia is an anxiety disorder,
and the person who has it is very anxious about being closed
in. Symptoms are: sweating, hyperventilation or
over-breathing, shaking, nausea or light-headedness. One thing
that you might observe in a person with this phobia is that when
they walk into a room, they first look for the exits. They may
also panic if a door is closed behind them. Places where they
might panic might be on buses, airplanes, lifts (elevators) or in
rooms with lots of people. |
