Eric is a friend of Renate.
He's 17 years old and has written down his experiences with cancer.

"I was 3 years old when I was faced with the disease cancer for the first time. My grandmother was dying because of the disseminations through her whole body. She was suffering from real pain, and that was why she has decided to pass away. If you are as young as I was, you do not really understand it, and know what it means to be dead. I didn't go to the funeral."

"When you get older, and know what the disease does with people, you finally understand it. The disease is in our family, because many of my uncles and aunts have had it, and died from it."

"My neighbour heard a couple of months ago that she has breast cancer. She is 45 years old and has 2 children aged between 16 and 20 years old. This is an age where you should need your parent. And it would be terrible if you loose a parent on such an age. She has had many chemotherapies and she got a positive message some weeks ago. Her body is clean from the disease cancer."

“The most important thing is, that you have to take care that you keep on fighting against the disease, and that you definitely do not stop with fighting. And of course try to look for appropriate medicines which can challenge this terrible disease."
