The mind is a funny thing.
You see one thing, but your brain makes something else of it.
There are a lot of sites on the web that shows you optical illusions.
We have selected some of the most remarkable ones.

Adaptation of color
First look at the photo of the plain.
You can see that it has two colors.
Now stare at the dot at the yellow and blue picture for at least 20 seconds.
Now look at the picture of the plane again.
You can see that there is no difference in color anymore.
Your brain has adapted to the right 'vision'.
Rotating Circles
Watch the black spot in the middle of the circles.
Move your head towards the screen, and back.
Do you see the difference between the inner circle and the outer circle?
Disappearing Spot
Watch the dark green spot in the middle of the light green spot.
Keep watching.
After a while the dark green spot will disappear because your eye is getting tired.
Rotating Wheel
Do the wheels turn to the right?
Or to the left?
When you look left of the wheel it seems to be turning to the left.
But when you look right, it turns the other way around.
Actually the wheel is not turning at all.
All that you see are two different images shown fast after each other.
Your mind is making out of that, that the wheel is turning.
Skull or girl?
Is it an Indian or Inuit.,
A young girl or Scotsman?
etc.
Horse
Do you see the horse from the front?
Or the back?
Blind spot
Put your hand over one of your eyes.
Stare at the dot in the picture.
Move your head towards the screen.
At one moment the cross will disappear.
