TasksIn the beginning the team agreed upon using their talents and skills to build the site together. Of course all team members had to find information about the subject. They made up a ‘brainstorm list' and divided to subjects between all the members. On addition to that, Sonny designed the site as he had the most experience in doing so. Most of the time he uses PHP but this was not possible in this International Competition. So he had to go ‘back in time' and had to use HTML. (Which I thought was better because I understand HTML myself and know nothing about PHP…). Sonny also made some video movies and edited them so that they could be used on the site. He wants to become a Cameraman. Lotje wants to become a professional Photographer and has much experience in using a camera and edit pictures in Photoshop. For the invitation of her 18th birthday party she had made a beautiful collage of childhood pictures. And when the other team members saw that, she promised to make such a collage of us all. That meant a lot of fun to see the old pictures again (and a lot of works to scan them, since in the early days there were no digital cameras.) Lotje also made the ‘logo's' on the different pages of this website. She made a lot of pictures of different senses that could be used on the site. Laurette was the one who could make contact with the blind teenagers on the skates. She interviewed them, while they were being filmed. Femke was the one who wanted to explore the ‘unusual view' of the subject by searching the net for information about the sixth sense, and finding the most unusual (and funny) games to use on the fun pages of this site. ![]() Different home towns The team members live in different cities in the Netherlands. Femke and Laurette live in Almere, which is in the centre of the Netherlands. Sonny lives in Ede , which is 50 km from Almere. And Lotje lives in Bilthoven which lies in between. This means that we had to find different types of communication than just see each other after school… MSN definitely was a good thing to use as well as email. It was a good chance to meet some of the team members when turning on the computer because that is the first thing young people do nowadays.. See if someone else in on MSN. Besides this computer meetings we planned a trip together to the home of one of the team members every 4 weeks. |
