What Can Computers Do

 

The computer cracks codes, it also solves maths problems. It translates one language to another, stores lots of information in Cds and broadcasts the news. It handles electronic banking, makes travel arrangements, buys and sells houses and can send emails.

PCs can burn CDs, download music, let you play games and link micro-printers to pocket-size Pcs. A home Pc has a minimum of 64 megabytes. One megabyte can store up to one million characters. Computers are quite old compared to the car with was made in the late 19th century, the first computer/calculator was made in 1642! The first computer looked like a calculator; It could only add and subtract figures. Printers can print documents that you save. If you scan you 'Take a picture' of the thing you scan ie. a page from a book or a piece of paper. When you send people faxes you send people messages on paper using a fax machine.
