Ares has a brother called Hephaestus and his wife is Aphrodite. When Ares heard clashing of the weapons, he jumped with glee and put his war hemlet on and jumped on his war-chariot and raced into war.

Poseidon
Poseidon was the god of the sea, yet he was also the lord of earthquakes and horses. Although he was one of the supreme gods of mount Olympus, he preferred to stay in his watery domain. Poseidon was the brother of Zeus and Hades. The three of them divided up the creation of earth. Zeus, the ruler of the sky, Hades, the ruler of the underworld and Poseidon, the ruler of all water, both fresh and salt. Although there were rivers personified as gods, they would have basically been under Poseidon’s rule.
