There is huge support for more and better after school activities. It is supported because:

·        seniors think with the kids gone,     they’ll have a safer community.

·        parents want their kids occupied after school.      

     There is political support because after school activities are one of the country’s top five recommendations. A recent survey says 86% of police chiefs in the U.S. want the activities to expand so there’ll be less crime. The funding for the activities has increased in the past few years.
