In today’s world everyone wants that new piece of technology that will make them the cool kid on the block. The most perused technology in the field of energy is an alternative to traditional combustion engine cars that put of emissions into the atmosphere and kill plants and animals. Hydrogen cars Being the most conceivable form of alternative power the hydrogen engine is a very realistic choice. Either by means of combustion or a fuel cell, hydrogen can easily be implemented in to our society. Hydrogen cars’ only form of waste is purified water. This means that not only will we reduce the amount that we are polluting the earth, once every one has switched over we will stop pollution as a result of gasoline and cars. Electric cars Electricity to power cars means having batteries that are portable and rechargeable. The most common form of these is currently a cross between a gasoline car and an electric car that charges the batteries when you step on the breaks. The studies on this technology say that although it is an alternative to gasoline it is not the answer. They say that if one were to purchase one of these cars today, the cost of changing the batteries and regular up keep on the car would out weigh the savings created from better gas mileage, as long as the gas prices stay below four dollars per gallon. |
